As someone who has experienced the good and the bad in real estate, Chris Medina is determined to do right by his clients. In mortgage since 2001 and sales since 2003, Chris has helped more than 500 clients achieve their real estate goals, closing upward of $200 million in sales in the process. He is widely recognized as a leader in the Northern California market. 

Chris believes his role as a trusted advisor is to give clients the information and tools they need to take ownership of their real estate journey. To ensure his clients have the best chance of success, Chris has obtained many certificates and credentials, including Certified Distressed Property Expert® (CDPE) and Short Sale Specialist. He has expertise in short sales, probate sales, and 1031 exchanges. He’s also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals® (NAHREP) and a Lifetime Masters Club member of the Sacramento Association of Realtors®. 

Chris grew up in Sacramento, California, with entrepreneurial parents who instilled in him the value of hard work and gave him valuable insights into the challenges and rewards of owning a business. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and his education comes in handy when he sits down with clients to learn about their needs and goals. Since Chris didn’t have a great experience when he purchased his first home, he’s always been driven to be the kind of agent he wished he’d had. In 2021, after working in big brokerage for nearly two decades, Chris founded Upward Realty, a tech-forward, boutique firm powered by top-tier agents. 

Real estate isn’t Chris’s only passion, and he often puts his time and talent to good use in the community. Each year, he organizes donation drives for his favorite charities, two of which are the Sacramento Food Bank and the Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento. Chris can also be frequently found snowboarding, traveling, and cooking.
